The carefully-designed functional principle of the POP Vgrip blind rivet technology proves itself in complicated applications such as are met in the automotive and other manufacturing industries on a daily basis. In particular, thanks to the large clamping area and high clamping strength an extensive range of fastenings can be accomplished with only two dif-ferent versions. When installed, the disc-shaped closing heads not only look good wherever they are positioned, they also increase the tear-out strength by an appreciable amount.

Only two sizes of rivet are needed to cover a clamping range from 1.5 mm to 10.0 mm – 1.5 mm to 6.0 mm with the short Vgrip and 6.0 mm to 10.0 mm with the long Vgrip. In installation and process reliability the POP Vgrip is ahead of the field as well. The mandrel-locking mechanism's special design prevents noise being caused or the loss of the mandrel head after setting the rivet. Taper on the mandrel also helps position the rivet in the hole drilled and the rolled mandrel not only enhances process reliability but lengthens the working life of the setting tool. The POP Vgrip blind rivets are available as "domed head“ and "large domed head" versions and in the material combinations steel/aluminium (mandrel and shaft) and steel/steel. At the customer's request, KVT-Fastening can also supply individually customised productions for special applications.
